Exclusive video interview with Emilie Moldow from DMGP 2014: “I think singing in Danish could be an advantage”

We have reached the fifth part of our Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014 introduction series, where we will introduce the 10 competing artists in the order they will perform on March 8th.

Number 5 in the running order is Emilie Moldow, who will sing the song Vi finder hjem, written by Engelina, Ole Brodersen, Kasper Larsen and Basim. Vi finder hjem will be the only song in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014 to perfomed in Danish. You can find out how Emilie feels about that and more by watching our interview below.

Emilie Moldow is only 16 years old, but despite her young age, she has had plenty of experience with music. She has worked with music as long as she can remember, and has written song since she was quite young. In 2011 she competed along with R-B-G in the Danish MGP competition, which is basically the children’s version of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Emilie had written the song they competed with called Vores Verden. She doesn’t have any idols, as she wants to be someone unique on the music stage, but she does look up to the deceased R’n’B singer Aaliyah, and if Emilie could sing a duet with anyone, it would be Aaliyah. When Emilie isn’t busy with her music, she is currently a freshman in highschool, but she hopes that she will be able to live as musician by the time she graduates. On March 8th Emilie will definitely get to experience the life of a musician, when she goes on stage with song number 5 Vi Finder Hjem.
