It’s time for Anna David today! Anna David will sing song number 9 on Saturday called It Hurts. The song is written by Anna David herself along with Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Jeremy Huffleman, Marli & Michael Harwood and Nick Keynes. In the interview below Anna David will tell us a sneak peak of how her staging and more.
Anna David was born on December 2nd 1984 in the Danish city Aarhus to a Danish/American father and a German mother. Anna already started playing music, when she was four years old. In the beginning it was mostly drums, that had her interest, but when she was 13 years old, she also started taking singing lessons. At the same time, Anna was talking acting lessons and in 1999 she had her first roll in the musical Dancer in the dark. When Anna was 14 years old, she got her first record deal in Germany, and she released some songs over there that did quite well. In 2005 Anna David finally got her breakthrough in Denmark with the song F*ck Dig. The song became an enourmous hit. It was number 1 in the Danish singles chart for several weeks, and it sold multiplatinum. The song was also translated into English, Swedish and German, and the German version charted in both Austria and Germany. Anna David has since released 4 albums and numerous singles, with most of the them doing very very well in Denmark. She is now one of the most succesful young female singers in Denmark, and has at the same time been in several tv-series, movies and musicals. She is currently playing Sandy in the Danish version of the musical Grease, with Basim being one of her co-stars. On March 8th Anna David will song number 9 at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014, It Hurts.
