ESC+Plus: Hello Carolina! First of all congratulations on having been selected to take part at the Moldovan semi-finals for Eurovision 2015. What was the first idea which came to your mind when you were told you had qualified?

Well, I felt an immense happiness and a great power of motivation which I hope will help me in the final to get the victory.

E+: Can you tell us about you, your musical evolution and important achievements?

My passion for music appeared in the childhood, when I have been trying to participate in all possible events and song contests which were organized within the school, village or district. Therefore, the power of this passion brought me to various national and international contests, festivals and concerts. I was 16 years old when I reached for the first time on a big stage; it was at the National Song Contest “Steaua Chisinaului”. It was a nice beginning, because later I used to get every opportunity linked to all kind of song contests. I have participated in various music competitions in Romania, Russia and Germany, for which results I am proud of.

E+: Why did you decide to enter the Moldovan national selection 2015?

Because it is my dream to represent Moldova at Eurovision, I ever wanted to participate in such an amazing European song contest.

E+: This is not the first time you take part at this competition. How do you face this new Eurovision attempt? What memories and experiences do you have from your previous participations?

Yes, that’s right, it is the third attempt, but I hope it will be a successful one. I believe my previous experiences in this competition will help me to get the victory. My previous experiences gave me the possibility to analyze all my weak points, and now I have the possibility to improve them, so I consider now I am better prepared for this fight than ever before.

E+: What it would mean for you to represent Moldavia in Vienna?

This is a great opportunity for me to make known my performance, promote it and also gain experience.

E+: Your song is called “Sublime”. Can you tell us about the song and the story behind the lyrics? How was the composition procedure?

I liked this song from the first hearing. I have had the possibility to choose from more songs, but this was the first which touched my heart. This is collaboration with the composers Ylva and Linda Persson from Sweden. It is a song about love, with a dynamic rhythm which invites people to dance.

E+: How are you preparing your performance? Can you give us any clue?

I can say that it would be a show full of lights, dance and positive energy. I believe that only a good voice and an exceptional show could bring to victory.

E+: What are your main strengths so as to get the support of juries and televote to reach Eurovision?

I am a kind of person who doesn’t like to speak about this; I prefer my strengths to be highlighted by people who are around me. However, I think my strengths for televote and juries consist in the fact that me and my team really believe in this song and that I am going to make a fantastic show, also I feel that there is a great connection between this song and me as interpreter.

E+: If you win the Moldavian competition, would you sing in Moldavian or in English at Eurovision?

Definitely, it would be English

E+: Have you listened to the other participating songs at the Moldovan selection? Do you have any favourite?

Yes, of course, I have listened all songs, I should say that there are a lot of nice songs and talented voices but my favorite one remains “Sublime”, the song interpreted by me.

E+: Do you usually watch Eurovision? Do you have any favorite song in the history of the contest?

I have been watching Eurovision since 2002, and my favorite song is Helena Paparizou, with the song, “My number one”.

E+: Besides Eurovision, what are your other plans for this year?

I would like to work on new songs, to release another video clips and to extend my cooperation with international composers.

E+: Finally, would you like to send a message for our readers?

Yes, I’d like to say to your readers to listen to the best music, I mean that from Eurovision, I do believe in your support and I wish you all the best!  Thanks!
