Georgia starts search for Junior Eurovision 2017

The Georgian Public Broadcaster has open submissions for this year’s Junior Eurovision national selection. GPB will be accepting applications from now until the 1st of September.

All interested soloists and groups aged between 9 and 14 years can send their original songs to the following e-mail: The candidates must also attach a picture, biography and phone number to be contacted in case of being chosen.

Like in previous years, the winner will be selected internally by a professional jury panel. Last year, however, they were asking for songs, but they only selected the singer. The song was later composed by Giga Kukhianidze, who has composed almost every Georgian entry in the history of Junior Eurovision.

Georgia will be the host of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is set to take place on November 26 in Tbilisi. It is the most successful country until the date, having won the competition three times.
