Last week (12-01-2024) the national broadcaster, GPB, revealed that in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden) Georgia will be represented by Nutsa Buzaladze.
About Nutsa Buzaladze
Nutsa Buzaladze is a singer from Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. Most of the time she uses her stage name, “Nutsa”. In 2019 Nutsa released her debut album. In Georgia Nutsa became known for her debut single, “Gelodebi”, but also for her successful streaks in national singing talent shows. In 2023 Nutsa ended 12th in that year’s season of American Idol. It was the first time an artist from outside of the United States came this far in this talent show.
GPB, Georgia’s national broadcaster, chose Nutsa internally. Last year this broadcaster used The Voice of Georgia as a Eurovision selection format.
Nutsa’s entry
Nutsa’s entry is not chosen yet, but GPB opened a submissions window on January 13th 2024. Potential songs can be send to GPB’s selection committee until January 30th 2024.
Eurovision 2023
Last year Georgia was represented by Iru and the song “Echo”. Iru did not make it into the 2023 Grand Final, ending 12th (of 16) in the Grand Final.
