France 2024: First live performance of Slimane’s entry

During New Year’s Eve French 2024 representative, Slimane, performed his Eurovision entry “Mon Amour” live on French TV channel, France 2. He performed his song in front of well-known Parisian monument, Arc de Triomphe, in the heart of France’s capital, Paris.

The French 2024 entry was released on November 8th 2024; by doing so, France was the first country to release its 2024 Eurovision entry.

About Slimane we know that his full name is Slimane Nebchi. The singer, songwriter, and actor is born to Algerian parents in Chelles, which is a town near Paris (France). In 2009 Slimane started uploading song covers he performed on YouTube, but he came to grand public attention in 2016 when he competed in the fifth season of the “The Voice” in France, and won. Slimane’s debut album, called “À bout de rêves” became double platinum in France, and the three albums after also hit number one in France.

Slimane will perform in the Grand Final with his song, “Mon Amour”, because France is one of the Big Five countries, and therefore immediately proceeds to the Grand Final of the contest. The 2024 Grand Final will take place on May 11th 2024.
