September has just come and we all know what this means: The start of the Eurovision 2015 season!
One of the first countries to start its selection process is Finland, which will use the UMK (Uuden Musiikin kilpailu) As in the last three years. Any artists interesting in take part in the Finnish national final can submit their songs to the YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster, between today and the next Monday.
The show’s producer, Anssi Autio promised a few changes this year. He revealed that the show will be live and there will not be juries, being the results decided by the public.
This year Softengine represented Finland in Copenhagen with the song ”Something Better”. After finishing 3rd in the second semi-final, the band placed 11st in the grand final, the best country’s result since its victory in 2006 with Lordi and ”Hard Rock Hallelujah”.
