What happened during the event?

Several things happened during the event: Presenters AJ Odudu and Rylan Clark hosted the draw, together with scholars of a local Liverpool school and people of the Ukrainian community in Liverpool.

The Mayor of Turin (Italy), last year’s host city, was present in Liverpool to handover the host city key insignia to the Mayor of Liverpool, the upcoming host city in the UK.

The logo and slogan of the upcoming contest in Liverpool (UK) were officially revealed.

The draw

The Semi-final Allocation draw consisted out of 2 parts: The first part determined in which Semi-final each of the six pre-qualified countries are going to vote. The second part determined in which Semi-final and in which half of that specific Semi-final the 31 remaining countries will take the stage.

The full allocation of each country will be decided by the producers of the shows, as to avoid, for example, 4 ballads being performed after each other.
