Eurovision 2020: Five host cities submit their bid books

Following the news of Amsterdam dropping out of the race to host Eurovision next year in the Netherlands, the five cities that are hopeful to assume host duties submitted their plans for consideration.

Arnhem, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Maastricht, Rotterdam and Utrecht are the official 2020 hopefuls. After sharing their ideas to Dutch public broadcasters NPO, AVROTROS and NOS, the representatives handed their bid books which show detailed plans on how each city would host the events.

The main hopeful for consideration is Rotterdam, who submited a video showcasing the city.  The arena identified to be the venue in Rotterdam as the Ahoy Arena.

The 2020 Eurovision Song Contest core team will evaluate the various bid books over the next few weeks and schedule city visits. The team aim to choose the Eurovision 2020 Host City in August as previously promised.
