EMA 2018 finalists decided in Slovenia

The Semi-Final of the Slovenian national selection for Eurovision 2018 has just finished. Eight acts have gone through to the final, four of them selected by public audience vote and another eight entries by a professional jury panel.

Sixteen candidates reached the semi-final phase of EMA 2018:

  1. Anabel: ‘Pozitiva’
  2. Tanja Ribič: ‘Ljudje’
  3. KiNG FOO: ‘Žive sanje’
  4. INA SHAI: ‘V nebo’
  5. Indigo: ‘Vesna’
  6. ManuElla: ‘Glas’
  7. MILA: ‘Svoboda’
  8. Orter: ‘Kraljica’
  9. Lara Kadis: ‘Zdaj sem tu’
  10. BQL: ‘Ptica’
  11. Proper: ‘Ukraden cvet’
  12. Nika Zorjan: ‘Uspavanka – Lullaby’
  13. Marina Martensson: ‘Blizu’
  14. Nuška Drašček: ‘Ne zapusti me zdaj’
  15. Gregor Ravnik: ‘Zdaj je čas’
  16. Lea Sirk: ‘Hvala, ne!’

After the performances, the professional jury panel selected four finalists, while the televoting decided another four qualifiers. You can find the hopefuls that made it through to the final below:

  • BQL: ‘Ptica’
  • Lea Sirk: ‘Hvala, ne!’
  • Indigo: ‘Vesna’
  • INA SHAI: ‘V nebo’
  • Marina Martensson: ‘Blizu’
  • Nuška Drašček: ‘Ne zapusti me zdaj’

At today’s show, all the songs were performed in Slovenian. However, the singers will sing in the language they have chosen for Eurovision in the Final on 24th February.

The winner of EMA 2018 will be selected by a 50/50 mix of public televoting and an expert committee.
