Denmark: 10 artists revealed for DMGP 2014

This year’s host country of Eurovision, Denmark has revealed, who are going to participate in the highly anticipated national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014, which will be held on March 8 in Odense. 10 artists and songs are going to fight for the right to represent Denmark on homeground. 6 of the participants were chosen among the 872 songs that were sent in, while the last 4 have been specially invited by broadcaster DR as a wildcard.

The 10 competing artists and songs (songwrites in brackets) are:

  • Sonny – Feeling The You (Frederik Tao Nordsøe Schjoldan, Thomas Lumpkins) WILDCARD
  • Anna David – It Hurts (Anna David, Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Jeremy Huffleman, Marli Harwood, Michael Harwood, Nick Keynes) WILDCARD
  • Basim – Cliche Love Song (Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Daniel Fält, Basim)
  • Rebekka Thornbech – Your Lies (Danne Attlerud, Gustav Eurén, Niclas Arn)
  • GlamboyP – Right By Your Side (Mathias Kallenberger, Andreas Berlin, Jasmine Anderson
  • Bryan Rice – I Choose You (Bryan Rice, Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, Shanna Crooks)
  • Nadia Malm – Before You Forget Me (Nadia Malm) WILDCARD
  • Michael Rune feat. Natascha Bessez – Wanna be Loved (Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Larsson, Luke Madden, Lemare Obika) WILDCARD
  • Emilie Moldow – Vi Finder Hjem (Engelina, Ole Brodersen, Kasper Larsen, Basim)
  • Danni Elmo – She’s The One (Engelina, Alexander Brown, Søren Vestergaard, Marcus Linnet)

DMGP fans might recognize two of those names, as Bryan Rice came 2nd with the song Breathing in 2010 behind Chanée & N’evergreen, while Dani Elmo came 2nd with the song 2 in 1 in 2006 and participated again in 2007 with the song Meaning Of Live.

A press conference will held on February 17th, and at the same time snippets of the 10 competing songs will be released.
