After a break-out due to financial reasons at this year’s edition in Copenhagen, CyBC comes as stronger as Eurovision fans have ever seen. The broadcaster, as we previously posted in advance, has been making up a selection proccess consisting on several shows (no less than 9!) to pick its act who would be set to carry the colours of the Cypriot flag in Vienna.
Now we can inform the readers on our website the selection will come to an end on the 1st of February after we all have watched the TV auditions, to kick off in December. Then a press conference will take place next Monday 20th November at CyBC headquarters in Nicosia for more details regarding the national final and Cypriot participation at the 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.
A jury pannel will pick up several potential entries which are enough competitive to win the ticket which will lead one of them to Vienna and get Cyprus back to the finals after Ivi Adamou’s commercial success in 2012 with ‘La La Love’, last time the country reached a place in the grand final of the contest.
