Claudia Faniello gives her first impressions after winning Malta Eurovision 2017

The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017 gave us a winner last night and it was no other than Claudia Faniello with the song “Breathlessly“. Right after she received the trophy on stage in hands of Mary Spiteri and the transmission was over once she reprised the track, she went on meeting the press who gathered at Ta’Qali’s Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, where the show took place. Producers of the show and PBS CEO John Bundy also talked about Faniello’s victory on a press conference.

Our website was also present at the event and we are bringing you the first statements Claudia gave us as soon as this press conference was over, watch it out below:

Claudia Faniello has tried hard to make it to Eurovision in the past, with her journey beginning in 2006 and prior to this experience, the last one was in 2013 when she performed the song “When It’s Time” also at this very same venue. The Maltese public decided that Claudia should be the one performing for Malta on the Eurovision stage in Kiev in May.

The song “Breathlessly” is written by Maltese Philip Vella, Sean Vella and Gerard James Borg. They have already represented Malta in the past winning the Malta Song Festival several occasions such as 2002, 2004 or 2007.
