GPB, Georgia’s public broadcaster, has internally selected the trio Bzikebi, who at just 10 years old gave the country its first victory at Junior Eurovision 2008 with the song “Bzzz,” noted for being performed without real words, imitating the sounds of wasps. The song with which they will represent Georgia at Eurovision 2026 will be released soon.
This is the second time that Georgia has opted at Eurovision for artists who previously won Junior Eurovision, as Iru, a member of the group Candy, who won Junior Eurovision 2011, represented the country at Eurovision 2023 with the song “Echo,” although she failed to qualify for the final.
Bzikebi is made up of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili, and Mariam Kikuashvili, and together they returned to the Junior Eurovision stage in 2025 in Tbilisi, performing an interval act in which they sang their new song “We Don’t Sleep.”

Bzikebi translates as “the wasps” in Georgian. The children’s group, made up of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili, and Mariam Kikuashvili, left an unforgettable mark at just 10 years old in Georgia after winning Junior Eurovision 2008, dressed in wasp colors, yellow and black, and fantastically imitating the sounds of wasps. It is considered one of the most childlike, fun, and memorable performances in the history of the contest.
Bzikebi achieved the first of the four victories that Georgia has secured at Junior Eurovision. After their Junior Eurovision win, the young performers released an album, “Zabuzei,” which was very successful among young Georgians.
At Junior Eurovision 2022, Bzikebi performed in an interval act, taking part in a medley with winners from the entire history of Junior Eurovision, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the contest. There, it was surprising to see them already more grown up, wearing yellow outfits with black in their footwear and underwear, alluding to their childhood victory. They also performed at that year’s Opening Ceremony.
