This afternoon, on May 3rd 2022, ESCplus had an interview with the cool rock band Intelligent Music Project, that represent Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Our reporter, Denis, asked the gentlemen all sorts of things about a great variety of different Eurovision topics.
The feel
The feel we get from the interview is that this band is really close, and because of competing in this year’s contest their bond only grew stronger. They are in the band all together, and these men support each other through thick and thin. They are there for one another.
Slight change of plans
The Creative Director of Intelligent Music Project had to change the plans of the band on-stage, since the kinetic sun is out of order, and seems to remain that way. The guys of the band cannot be bothered though; they are just happy to be in Turin, and to compete.
Stoyan is an expert
Band member Stoyan Yankoulov is an expert when it comes down to competing in the Eurovision Song Contest, because he already represented Bulgaria two times before, in the contest of 2007 and in 2013, both times together with singer Elitsa Todorova. Stoyan says that the contest has become way bigger, and even that the singers are becoming younger, but he cannot be bothered, since he is here to compete as well. He is very excited, and each time he was in the contest it felt like a whole new adventure.

Eurovision Song Contest 2022
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 10th, 12th, and 14th of May 2022 in Turin, Italy. Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project will compete during the 1st Semi-final on May 10th 2022.
