Bulgaria: BNT reveals details of internal selection, submissions open

BNT has revealed details of its internal selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Bulgarian broadcaster has released a call for partners to find the perfect package that continues its recent success.

“Once again we are looking for a charismatic artist, captivating song and effective stage concepts. We would like to be working together with the best professionals so that we prove once again that Bulgaria is worthy part of the music landscape in Europe. With this kind of approach we have very good achievements in the last two years – the second place by Kristian Kostov and the fourth one by Poli Genova“, said the Bulgarian Head of Delegation Joana Levieva-Sawyer.

Submissions open:

BNT is seeking for record labels and professionals that submit projects for the 2018 Bulgarian entry, including the performer, the song, the stage concept, and a draft budget of the portion of the expenses that the company/team is ready to cover. The broadcaster is looking for potential entries and partners that help them to afford a quality performance.

Applications should be sent to the following e-mail address: [email protected], directly or via Watransfer. The deadline to apply is on December 20th, 2017. All the submissions will be considered by international and local professionals, who will select the Bulgarian entry for Eurovision 2018. BNT reserves its right to suggest changes during all the stages of the national selection and Eurovision participation.

Recent Bulgarian success:

The recent Bulgarian success at Eurovision started in 2016 when Poli Genova returned as their representative with the song “If Love Was A Crime”, which achieved a 4th place. This year, they even accomplished the hard task to improve their previous result finishing 2nd at the Grand Final with the performance of the new-born star Kristian Kostov.

If Kristian Kostov gets chosen again, and ends up winning in Lisbon, then oh my god, I’m gonna be soooo happy for him!!!! 😀
