Junior Eurovision: BTRC announces Belarusian national finalists

Today BTRC has held live auditions to select the acts that will compete at this year’s national final show for Junior Eurovision. For the first time, live auditions have been held in the largest television studio of the broadcaster, equipped with the latest technology.

This year, the Belarusian broadcaster received 48 applications that have been evaluated live by a professional jury panel, made up of Deputy Director of the TV channel Belarus 1 Olga Salamakha; composer and arranger Gennady Markevich; singer and Belarus’ 2015 Eurovision representative Uzari; popular singer Iskui Abalyan; consultant at the Professional Art Department of the Belarusian Culture Ministry Tatiana Parkhamovich; and PR manager Sergei Andrianov.

After the live auditions, the experts have made a decision, so the following candidates will compete at the national final:

  • Ruslana Panchishina
  • Khelena Meraai
  • Stefaniya Sokolova
  • Anastasiya Zhabko
  • Quartet of the National Center for Children’s Creativity named after V. Mulyavin (Maksim Tsuprikov, Angelina Lomako, Stefaniya Kruglaya and Stefaniya Sokolova)
  • Mariya Zhilina
  • Ariny Pekhterevoy & Anastasii Dmitrachkovoy
  • Yaroslav Sokolikov
  • Anastasiya Timofeyevich
  • Elina Mataras

The Belarusian national final will be held live no later than 16 September, 2017. The winner and national representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be selected by the votes of the professional jury and TV viewers.
