The band Voyager will represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (United Kingdom) with the song “Promise”.
About Voyager
Voyager was selected internally to represent Australia in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Since 2018 Australia has opted for a televised show to choose their entrant, but to find their 2023 representation Australia went for the internal route. Voyager also participated in the Australian selection show of 2022 with the song “Dreamer”, finishing in second position.
The band Voyager is what one would call a “progressive metal band” that has its roots in Perth, Western Australia. The band members came together in 1999 and since that time they have released no less than seven studio albums.
Eurovision 2023
Australia’s Voyager will perform in the second half of the second Semi-final on May 11th 2023.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
