Anggun climbs up Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart with What We Remember

The French-Indonesian songstress who represented France in Eurovision 2012, Anggun, is proven to be a hit-machine. After signing a one-of-a-kind pan Asian new record deal with Universal Music Asia last year, the World Music Award winner dropped her newest studio album, 8, on December 8th, 2017. It has ever since becoming a hit in several Asian countries, topping iTunes Indonesia’s chart just after several hours of its release, and continued to climb up major charts in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

The lead single of the album, What We Remember, was premiered in the grand final of Asia’s Got Talent season 2, in which Anggun served as one of the judges. An accompanying music video, directed by Roy Raz, is also released via Anggun’s official YouTube channel and has gained a considerable amount of viewers across the globe.

A pop-electro track with a touch of acoustic, What We Remember landed on the 50th spot of Billboard Dance Club Songs on January 5th, 2018. However, it quickly jumped 20 spots in the following week and achieved new peak at number 30 earlier this week. The single marks Anggun’s second Top 30 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart after her ethereal debut Snow on the Sahara in 1998. The later peaked at number 16 and spent 18 weeks on the chart.
