The Albanian representative at Eurovision 2014 Hersi Matmuja is involved in a new musical project along with the Italian musician Pietro Roffi!
Pietro Roffi is a 22-year old talented accordionist winner of a lot of national and international competitions in the modern/variété genre. “The young and talented accordionist manages to turn his accordion into various instruments, as only the elected ones can do” (Daily ‘Puntual’, Argentina).
Hersi and Pietro met about two years ago at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome where they attended the same history of music course and, just three months ago, they decided to put together their musical experience in this new duo. One voice, one instrument (the accordion), some pieces by Satie, Piazzolla, Morricone… , a few traditional Albanian songs, many rehearsals at the Conservatory and … a successful concert!
Both artists also decided to shoot a special clip from the concert including some backstage shoots and the best moments of their live performance. The day after the concert, they recorded some of the pieces which were performed during the event, including “Moj e bukura more”, a traditional Albanian song.
