The finalists of the Albanian national final, Festivali i Këngës 62, were revealed yesterday (21-12-2023), and tonight 22 hopefuls will battle it out to represent Albania in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö (Sweden)!
After three exciting nights during which many different artists battled it out to reach the grand final of this annual national song competition 22 artists remain to possibly fly the Albanian flag in the upcoming contest.

What has happened in the Albanian national final up to now?
The things that happened in the Albanian national final, Festivali i Këngës 62, are the following: There have been three nights of semi-finals. In the first two nights the 31 entrants of the competition presented their (Eurovision) entries. During the third night the 31 participants of this year performed duets with famous Albanian music artists; in this regard there was divide between 14 former Albanian national finalists, who performed former Festivali i Këngës songs, and 17 all-new artists, who performed Eurovision songs. Of the 17 new artists the professional jury of the show chose 8 artists to proceed to the national grand final of Albania.

How will the winner of the Albanian national final be chosen?
The way the winner of the Albanian national final will be chosen will be by both a professional jury as well as public votes, but the thing with this national final is that all 31 artists and songs that competed are still eligible to become Albania’s next representative, which means that the winner gets the first choice to compete, but all others can still come to the forefront to go to Eurovision.
Who represented Albania in Eurovision 2023?
In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Albania was represented by Albina & Familja Kelmendi with the song “Duje”. In Semi-final 2 Albina and her family reached the 9th position (of 16), and in the Grand Final they came in 22nd (of 26).
