BBC has just revealed the name of the six candidates that will compete in the 2018 UK’s national final. Eurovision: You Decide will take place on 7th February from the world-famous Brighton Dome.
All public entries were carefully considered and shortlisted by representatives of the UK Eurovision Fan Club (OGAE UK). Whereas, the broadcaster also approached established songwriters supported by Record Industry Executive and Music Consultant for the BBC, Hugh Goldsmith.
The six hopefuls that will compete in the final can be found below:
- Asanda – ‘Legends’ by Christopher Wortley, Laurell Barker and Roel Rats
- Goldstone – ‘I Feel The Love’ by Eric Lumiere, Joakim Buddee, Laura White and Roel Rats
- Jaz Ellington – ‘You’ by Ashley Hicklin, Herman Gardarfve & Laura White
- Liam Tamne – ‘Astronaut’ by Ashley Hicklin, Jacob Pedersen, Jeanette Bonde and Rune Braager
- Raya – ‘Crazy’ by Emil Rosendal Lei, Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir and Samir Salah Elshafie
- SuRie – ‘Storm’ by Nicole Blair, Gil Lewis and Sean Hargreaves

Eurovision: You Decide 2018 will be broadcast live from the world-famous Brighton Dome, the site of ABBA’s 1974 Eurovision Song Contest win with ‘Waterloo’. Mel Giedroyc will host the event along with the winner of Eurovision 2015 Måns Zelmerlöw as co-host.
