TRM has open submissions for their 2018 national selection. Once again, the Moldovan broadcaster will select its Eurovision representative from a national selection show that will be broadcast in February.
All interested singers and composers can apply from today until the 15th of January, 2018 by filling the form available on the official website of TRM. The candidates should follow the rules of the competition listed in the following PDF document (In Moldovan).
When the submission period closes, a professional jury panel will shortlist 35 entries that will go through to the audition phase of the competition, which will be broadcast live. A panel of experts will select the 16 acts that will participate in the television shows.
The next year’s Moldovan selection will be made up of two live shows, a semi-final, on 22 February, and a national final on 24 February. Ten candidates will compete in the final to represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
2017 saw the best Moldovan result in any Eurovision competition come as the trio Sunstroke Project achieved a 3rd place in the Grand Final with the song “Hey Mamma”.
