A few weeks ago, the public broadcaster announced that they would be once again hosting the Malta Eurovision Song Contest and it will most likely be held at the Mediterranean Conference Center, such as previous editions in the past and this year’s JESC. PBS also decided to drop the jury panel votes off from the final outcome and solely televoting will be deciding the Maltese entrant in Ukraine.
Artists who were up to take part in the competition had to present their entry at PBS’ headquarters in Gwardmanga on the 30th of November. Soon after, it has been revealed that a total of 156 acts had applied into the process. The broadcaster is now busy selecting the 16 entries which will be competing for the ticket in just one show scheduled for February.
Who will succeed Ira Losco’s footsteps at the contest? Will they get to enter in the top 10 next May?
