Malta is preparing to become the epicentre of European children’s music. The Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali (Malta) will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 on Saturday, 24 October. The Mediterranean island is ready to welcome the 16 delegations that will compete for victory. Malta is once again taking charge of the organisation of the European contest for the third time in its history.
The Eurovision stage will be filled with talent, excitement and music with the celebration of Junior Eurovision 2026. The 16 young participants will have the opportunity to perform their entries and fulfil one of their greatest dreams: representing their countries in front of viewers around the world. As it approaches its first quarter-century, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will once again be held under the slogan “United By Music”, once again highlighting the spirit of unity that characterises the contest. This time, there is an added incentive: inviting us to join and become part of the great Maltese “festa”, where music, tolerance and diversity are an essential part of the show.
With the big event drawing ever closer, the time has come to turn the spotlight on its protagonists and discover the details of each of the 16 entries that will compete to win the coveted crystal microphone. For many of them, what began as a dream in front of the television is about to become a reality on the Junior Eurovision stage.
This time, it is time to discover the biography and professional career of Wiktor Sas, Poland’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The young artist secured his ticket to Ta’ Qali after winning the ninth edition of ‘The Voice Kids Poland’, the format that Polish public broadcaster TVP has turned into its selection method. His victory opened the doors to the contest, where he will represent his country with «Gravity».
How did his journey towards Junior Eurovision begin? What made him fall in love with music? What are his greatest dreams? And what does the song he will perform on the Ta’ Qali stage mean? Through his story, we get to know the young Wiktor Sas, who is taking part in this 24th edition, more closely.
This is Wiktor Sas: the boy from Przechlewo who defies gravity
Wiktor Sas is a young Polish singer who, at the age of 14, has become Poland’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. He comes from Przechlewo, a small town in the Człuchów district, in the Pomerania region in the north of the country.
Those who know him describe him as a restless, cheerful, brave, sensitive and empathetic boy. He started talking very early and, at just eighteen months old, he was already singing.
In fact, his first performances in front of an audience took place at nursery school, the first stage of a story that is now taking him to Malta. It is a revealing detail: music has been part of his life practically for as long as he can remember.

Away from the spotlight, Wiktor is a very hard-working student at the Janusz Korczak Primary School in Przechlewo, where he serves as president of the student council. He is also actively involved in local community life and works as a volunteer.
His everyday life is not limited to music. He enjoys dancing, reciting, playing football and going fishing. As a curious fact, he has a speciality in the kitchen: according to his official profile on the programme, he makes delicious spaghetti carbonara.
It is a portrait of a versatile, down-to-earth boy with a very active life beyond the stage. However, if there is one thing that has always been with him, it is music.
A voice that began in nursery school
Music came into Wiktor’s life long before he could imagine a stage like the one at Junior Eurovision. After those first songs at nursery school, his hobby gradually grew into something more serious: at the age of seven, he began receiving vocal training.
Since then, he has spent six years perfecting his technique at Studio Wokalne Metrum in Człuchów, a local singing school. There, he has been polishing his voice, his stage presence and his ability to face an audience. Therefore, when he reached national television, he did not arrive as an improvised newcomer, but with years of work behind him.
That perseverance would prove key years later. The secret of his success? In an interview with TVP’s breakfast show ‘Pytanie na Śniadanie’, the young singer summed up his journey with a very simple sentence: “I didn’t give up”.
His big chance: the Blind Auditions of ‘The Voice Kids Poland’
Wiktor’s life changed in 2026, when he entered the ninth edition of ‘The Voice Kids Poland’, broadcast on TVP 2. In the Blind Auditions, he performed «Unforgettable» by Norwegian duo Marcus & Martinus.
His choice did not leave anyone indifferent. Above all, the coaches: all three pressed their buttons and turned around to meet the owner of that voice.
He was therefore able to choose between Cleo, Poland’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014; Blanka, who flew the Polish flag in Liverpool 2023; and Tribbs, who was making his debut as a coach on the show. Wiktor chose the latter, a decision that, as it would later turn out, would shape his future.
In the Battles, he shared the stage with Magnus Karczewski and Maja Stawecka to perform «Addicted To You» by Avicii. Tribbs placed his trust in him once again, and the young singer from Przechlewo kept moving forward in the competition until he earned his place in the grand final.
Tribbs, much more than a coach
If there is one key figure at this stage of his career, it is Mikołaj Maciej Trybulec, known professionally as Tribbs. The Polish singer, songwriter and producer has gone from being his coach on television to becoming his mentor and, later, one of the songwriters of his Junior Eurovision entry.
His experience in the Eurovision world is extensive. Tribbs has been involved in creating Eurovision Song Contest entries such as «Universo» by Blas Cantó (Spain 2020), «River» by Krystian Ochman (Poland 2022), «Solo» by Blanka (Poland 2023) and «Watergun» by Remo Forrer (Switzerland 2023).
A relationship of trust has grown between them that goes beyond music. Wiktor has said that he often repeats a piece of advice from Tribbs to cope with pressure and nerves: “everything lasts for as long as you want it to”.
It is a phrase that says a lot about the way the young singer approaches his career. Meanwhile, the bond between the two was already clear in the grand final of ‘The Voice Kids Poland’, where they performed «Jealous» by Labrinth together.
«Bilet», his first single: finding your own path
His victory in ‘The Voice Kids Poland’ came hand in hand with his first single, «Bilet» (“Ticket”), released by Warner Music Poland. The song was written by Paula Roma, Brajan Jan Litkowiec and Stanisław Szymański, and it was the song he performed in the show’s superfinal.
Its message fits his personality perfectly. As Wiktor himself explained, the song is about not letting others influence you and finding your own path, because everyone should discover their own way. Coincidence? A prophetic title, by the way: that night, he won his ticket to Junior Eurovision.
Nerves, responsibility and one goal: making Poland proud
Like any artist his age, Wiktor is not immune to nerves. He has admitted that he felt considerable stress before his performances on the show, but also enormous determination to make his dream come true. However, he has a tool to keep them under control: the advice from Tribbs that he repeats to himself to stay calm.
Since he became the chosen one, he has also felt the responsibility of representing his country. Speaking to the Polish website Interia in early June, he made it clear: “The most important thing for me is that Poland can be proud of me”. It is an interesting trait of his personality: rather than the result, what matters most to him is living up to those who support him.
Talking about «Gravity», Wiktor also offered a sentence that sums up his way of working: “the key is to surround yourself with good energy and good people”.
From Przechlewo to Malta: destination Junior Eurovision
What does it mean for a small town like Przechlewo to see one of its own on the way to Junior Eurovision? The answer came in the form of a celebration.
Wiktor’s victory was celebrated as a real party in his home region. On his return, his school in Przechlewo welcomed him like a hero, and in Człuchów a surprise party was organised for him at the town’s youth cultural centre (MDK). “I didn’t know anything”, he admitted at the welcome.
His selection also had a symbolic value. On 9 May, Wiktor became the first artist selected for Junior Eurovision 2026. Aged 13 at the time, he is also the second male soloist to represent Poland at the children’s contest, after Dominik Arim in Madrid 2024.
Now, the young singer from Przechlewo is facing the biggest challenge of his career. Behind the artist who will take to the stage at the MFCC is a boy who studies, plays football, goes fishing and cooks, but who has been chasing one dream since nursery school: singing. Perhaps that is his greatest strength. And, as his song says, he has no intention of letting anything bring him down.
This is «Gravity», Wiktor Sas’s entry to represent Poland at Junior Eurovision
Wiktor Sas will represent Poland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with «Gravity». It is a pop song with electronic sounds that combines English and Polish, released by Warner Music Poland.
The song was written by a star-studded team: Tribbs, his coach; Lanberry (Małgorzata Uściłowska), co-writer of Poland’s two winning songs at Junior Eurovision, «Anyone I Want To Be» (2018) and «Superhero» (2019); producer Koder (Antoni Alagierski); and Germany-based British DJ and producer Coach Harrison. Koder is in charge of production, while the orchestration is by Wojciech Kostrzewa.
«Gravity» was born at a songwriting camp held in Warsaw from 29 June to 1 July, organised by Tribbs and Warner Music Polska with the aim of finding Poland’s entry for Malta. Over three days, songwriters and producers from Poland and other European countries worked on different songs written for Wiktor.
According to the artist himself, the song started from an idea by Lanberry. The process was not easy, and the song went through numerous revisions until the whole team was satisfied: “In the end, we reached an agreement together”, Wiktor explained. In addition, the recording featured a choir of participants from ‘The Voice Kids’.

Polish television revealed the details little by little. On 1 September, Telewizja Polska published a video in which Wiktor revealed the names of the songwriters; on 7 September, the title was announced; and finally, on 18 September, the song was released on digital platforms. That same day, it premiered on television on TVP 2’s ‘Pytanie na Śniadanie’, where the young singer was joined by Tribbs, Lanberry and Koder.
What does gravity represent in the song? In terms of its message, «Gravity» is about determination, overcoming difficulties and taking control of your own destiny despite pressure. The “gravity” of the title is a metaphor for everything that tries to hold a person back and pull them down: doubts, other people’s expectations or the obstacles on the way to one’s dreams.
The song opens with a feeling any teenager will recognise: “Everybody talks like they know the ending”, as if their story had already been written. However, the protagonist carries in his pocket a map that is changing and a plan of his own. In fact, the Polish part makes this clear with an almost sporting countdown —“On your marks, get set, go”— and a real declaration of intent: “One life – let’s change something”.
Faced with that force, he refuses to give up, as the chorus sums up: “It won’t get the best of me”. Even when he feels the weight of gravity again, he knows that he will get up if he falls. And the ending could not be more eloquent: “I’ll prove to them that I can fly” and “I’ll wave to them from above”.
It is a message that connects with Wiktor’s own story, with that “I didn’t give up” with which he summed up his journey, and with «Bilet», his first single. Therefore, rather than a song about gravity, «Gravity» is a song about daring to take off.
A music video in which Wiktor flies over the city
The official music video for «Gravity» premiered on 24 September, directed by Dawid Ziemba, who has worked with artists such as Krystian Ochman, Viki Gabor, Sara James and Lanberry herself. It was produced by Artur Strączek and Kuba Kapała.
In the video, Wiktor rises above the streets and rooftops of the city. Rather than letting gravity drag him down, he chooses his own path, leaves his limitations behind and discovers a new perspective on the world. It is a visual concept that brings the message of the song to life.
The cast is completed by Eric Tan, Filip Krzysztofiak, Bożena Łaźniak and Jan Łaźniak. After the premiere, Tribbs could not hide his enthusiasm: “To jest kosmos” (“This is out of this world”).

Everybody talks like they know the ending
Like my story has already been told
But the map inside my pocket is changing
And I’m ready for more
W głowie szum, no bo każdy wie lepiej
A ja w kieszeni mam już swój własny plan
Grawitacja może dzisiaj poczekać
Do biegu, gotowi, start
Jedno życie – zmieńmy coś
Drugiej szansy nie da los
Na sto procent idę w to
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
It won’t get the best of me
This is my destiny
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
Znów chcę go poczuć jak dawniej
Trzymaj mnie, zanim stracę grunt
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
Ponad chmurami, już mnie nie zatrzyma nic
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
It won’t get the best of me
This is my destiny
(Oh oh oh…)
I udowodnię im że mogę latać
(Oh oh oh…)
I z góry im pomacham
Gravity
Always pullin’…
Me, yeah
Oh oh oh…
All this gravity
English
Everybody talks like they know the ending
Like my story has already been told
But the map inside my pocket is changing
And I’m ready for more
Noise in my head, because everyone thinks they know better
But I’ve already got my own plan in my pocket
Gravity can wait today
On your marks, get set, go
One life – let’s change something
Fate won’t give a second chance
I’m going all in, one hundred per cent
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
It won’t get the best of me
This is my destiny
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
Above the clouds, nothing will stop me now
Who will do it for me if not me?
I think I know myself what matters to me
I feel the gravity again, but I know I’ll get up if I fall
I’ll feel that lightness again
I want to feel it again like before
Hold me before I lose my footing
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
Above the clouds, nothing will stop me now
All this gravity
Always pullin’ me
It won’t get the best of me
This is my destiny
(Oh oh oh…)
And I’ll prove to them that I can fly
(Oh oh oh…)
And I’ll wave to them from above
Gravity
Always pullin’…
Me, yeah
Oh oh oh…
All this gravity

How Wiktor Sas won his ticket to Junior Eurovision 2026: victory in ‘The Voice Kids Poland’
In this ninth edition, the coaching panel was made up of Cleo, Blanka and Tribbs. Each of them had a team of 18 artists, who went through the Blind Auditions, the Battles and the Knockouts until a grand final with nine finalists was formed, three per team: Alan Lubiński, Ania Jankowska and Antosia Grobelna (Blanka); Amelia Łęczycka, Leon Pawlikowski and Wiktor Sas (Tribbs); and Aleksandra ‘Ola’ Piłat, Leon Skorupski and Oliwia Johnson (Cleo).

The grand final took place on Saturday 9 May from 20:30 CEST on TVP 2, hosted by Paulina Chylewska and Michalina Sosna. In the first round, which was pre-recorded, each finalist performed a cover. Wiktor chose «River» by Bishop Briggs, and Tribbs picked him as his superfinalist, alongside Oliwia Johnson (Team Cleo) and Antosia Grobelna (Team Blanka).
Then, live, each superfinalist performed a duet with their coach and their first single. Wiktor and Tribbs sang «Jealous» by Labrinth together; Oliwia Johnson and Cleo went for «At Last»; and Antosia Grobelna and Blanka chose «Summertime Sadness» by Lana Del Rey.

Oliwia Johnson – «O miłości, nie ten czas»
Antosia Grobelna – «Znajduję swe miejsce»

The viewers had the final say through their SMS votes. Wiktor received the majority of the public’s support and was crowned the winner of the ninth edition. “It went really well, I didn’t expect to win, but I’m very happy that it happened”, he said after his victory, not forgetting to thank his coach for his support.
In addition to the trophy, the young singer won a recording contract with Warner Music Poland, a prize of 50,000 złoty (around €11,800) to boost his career and, of course, his ticket to represent Poland at Junior Eurovision 2026.
The show featured some star guests: Lou Deleuze, winner of Junior Eurovision 2025 with «Ce Monde», and JJ, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with «Wasted Love». Zosia Wójcik, winner of the previous edition of the show, and Marianna Kłos, Poland’s representative in Tbilisi 2025, presented the trophy to the new champion. Coaches and finalists also sang «Golden» together.
Poland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
In Malta, Poland will make its 13th appearance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country was one of the 16 founding countries of the contest in Copenhagen 2003 but, after finishing last in its first two participations, it decided to withdraw. It did not return until 2016.
Since then, it has become one of the great powers of the children’s contest. Roksana Węgiel claimed the country’s first victory in Minsk 2018 with «Anyone I Want To Be» (215 points).
Just a year later, Viki Gabor retained the title in Gliwice-Silesia with «Superhero» (278 points). Poland thus became the first country to win two years in a row and the first to win as host.
After years of choosing its representatives through Szansa na Sukces and internal selections, TVP has turned ‘The Voice Kids Poland’ into its official selection method. In 2025, finalist Marianna Kłos was already selected internally for Tbilisi, where she finished 8th with «Brightest Light» and 139 points. However, 2026 is the first year in which the winner of the talent show earns the ticket directly, a formula that will continue in 2027, with the final scheduled for 8 May next year.
Now, Wiktor Sas takes over with a clear goal: to bring his country back to the top and win Poland’s third crystal microphone.
