Cyprus has completed the selection of its entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Following the same format used over the past three editions, broadcaster CyBC has once again opted for an internal selection to choose the young artist who will have the honor of representing Cyprus at the European competition.
Harry Georgiou has ultimately been selected as Cyprus’ representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will be held on Saturday, October 24, at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali, Malta.
“Who I Can Be” will be the song that Harry Georgiou will perform on the Eurovision stage. The song was released this Thursday, September 24, alongside its official music video, which premiered on the official Junior Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel and will be available from 19:40 CEST.
Finally, Harry Georgiou became the representative of Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2026, in what will be Cyprus’ 12th participation in the European competition.
Since his selection, the young artist has been working with broadcaster CyBC to find the right entry to suit his vocal and stage abilities, with which he will take to the Junior Eurovision 2026 stage. Harry Georgiou, with his talent and dedication, is preparing to bring the Cypriot spirit to the international stage of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Cyprus’ entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is titled “Who I Can Be”, which translates as “Who I Can Be”. The song was written by an international team with extensive Eurovision experience. Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, Nathalie Brydolf, Victoria Chalkitis and Thomas Stengaard are credited as the authors of the music and lyrics. The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Thomas Stengaard.
Harry Georgiou was internally selected to represent Cyprus after winning the selection process organised by CyBC. Over the past few months, the young singer has been working with the broadcaster’s team to finalize an entry suited to his vocal and stage abilities.
His music video brought together a large international team of professionals from the fields of music, performance, directing and audiovisual production. The project featured Varnavas Kyriazis and a young cast consisting of Amelie Philippides, Nicolas Clark and Theofanis Sergiou. The video was directed by Bodega, with Fotinos Bakrisioris serving as director of photography. Meanwhile, Thelma Cassoulidou was responsible for production design and costumes, while Natalia Michael took charge of production direction and the direction of the performances.
The creative team was completed by Andria Christou as choreography assistant and creative assistant, Christina Tselepou as vocal coach, and Athena Lianou, who was responsible for the studio vocal training.
The look of the music video’s protagonists was handled by Elena Mavroyiorka, who was responsible for hair, and Maria Charalambous, who was in charge of make-up.
The project also received the support and collaboration of various institutions and professionals. Among the special acknowledgements are the Cyprus Theatre Organisation and the Municipality of Larnaca.

Who is Harry Georgiou? Meet Cyprus’ representative at Junior Eurovision 2026
Harry Georgiou is the young singer who will represent Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2026. The 13-year-old currently lives in Enfield, in north London. Of Greek Cypriot descent, Harry Georgiou has shown a great passion for music, performing and musical theatre from an early age.
He is currently training at the Platinum Performing Arts School, a London-based institution specialising in singing, acting and various dance disciplines.
Harry Georgiou studies vocal technique and drama. He has also taken part in major professional productions in London’s West End, becoming a prominent figure thanks to his vocal training and strong stage presence.
The career of Harry Georgiou began to take off after successfully completing different selection processes to join the casts of several theatrical productions. During the 2024–2025 season, the young performer played Gavroche in the musical ‘Les Misérables’, staged at London’s Sondheim Theatre. Later, during the 2025–2026 season, he joined the cast of ‘Elf: The Musical’, where he portrayed Michael Hobbs at the Aldwych Theatre.
The career of Harry Georgiou reached its highest point when he was selected to represent Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2026. The young artist was officially announced on July 13, after successfully completing the selection process conducted by public broadcaster CyBC.
A total of 209 young artists submitted their applications to represent the country. After the established requirements had been checked, 145 applications were validated, and 45 candidates were invited to take part in the in-person auditions. All of them stood out for their vocal abilities and strong stage presence. The final decision was made by a professional jury. Following their votes, Harry Georgiou emerged as the winner thanks to his vocal training and stage experience, securing his ticket to Ta’ Qali, Malta, as Cyprus’ representative at Junior Eurovision 2026.
