Official logo and slogan for Eurovision 2016 revealed! #ComeTogether

The Swedish Public Broadcaster SVT has just revealed the official logo design and slogan for this year’s Eurovision: Come Together!

This year’s logo is inspired by a dandelion and it reflects the idea of unity. Foaming seeds “Come Together” in the centre of the flower forming an only and hard structure.

“The logo can be interpreted in many different ways, but the dandelion idea was something we liked. Most people can feel related to it as it has a growing potential meaning, which can reflect the whole continent, and it moves.”, explained Lotta Loosme, Eurovision 2016 Head of Communications.

The idea comes from the origins of Eurovision, which was created in the 50s after the Word War as a way to unify all European nations through the music and art.

The logo was developed by INGO International Agency directed by Rikard Holst. As explained by him, the logo is formed by little flying seeds from all over the European continent, which converge on this magic flower so as to visualize the positive energy produced when the music happiness and power “Come together” at Eurovision.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will take place on May 10, 12 and 14 in the Stockholm’s Globen Arena. Petra Mede and Måns Zelmerlöw, 2015 winner, will host all three shows in which a total of 43 countries will be competing to get the crystal microphone.
