Mariam Mamadashvili to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2016

We have just got to know the name of the singer that will represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision, Mariam Mamadashvili.

10-year old Mari Mamadashvili was internally selected by GPB after holding an open selection procedure. The talented young singer is another former student of Bzikebi Studio, the Georgian academy that has been sending singers to Junior Eurovision since 2007. The composer of the song will be no other than Giga Kukhianidze, producer of almost all the songs that have represented Georgia at Junior Eurovision. Giga has also won the contest as a composer twice, with Bzikebi (2008) and Candy Music (2011).

The Georgian contender was selected by a competent jury made up of Rusudan Bakhtadze (Vocal Coach), Nato Dumbadze (Producer), Zaza Orashvili (Director), Nika Kocharov (Singer, 2016 ESC participant ), Lizi Pop (Singer, JESC participant).

Mari, who has been singing since the age of 4, has studied at “Basti-Bubu” and “Bzikebi Studio” participating in different concerts and TV shows. Mamadashvili is currently living in USA, where she moved in 2015.
