FYR Macedonia confirms participation at Junior Eurovision 2016!

The Macedonian Head of Delegation has just confirmed to ESC+Plus they will be taking part at this year’s Junior Eurovision to be held in Malta.

FYR Macedonia has been present in 11 editions of Junior Eurovision only missing the contest in 2014 and 2012. Their best result until the date has been a 5th place, achieved twice, in 2007 by Rosica Kulakova and Dimitar Stojmenovski with “Ding Ding Dong” and in 2008 with Bobi Andonov and “Prati mi SMS”.

A total of 10 countries, out of the 18 expected ones, have officially confirmed participation at the upcoming edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest until the date. Poland is highly rumoured to take part in the competition after an absence of more than a decade, but an official confirmation hasn’t been made yet.

Last year, FYR Macedonia sent the duet Ivana Petkovska & Magdalena Aleksovska with the song “Pletenka – Braid of Love”, they came last.
