From Switzerland we head to the Big 5 nation of the United Kingdom. This year the United Kingdom are represented by Electro Velvet with the song “Still In Love With You”. The duo was selected through an open submissions process.

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957, it was only 10 years later that the United Kingdom won the contest for the first time in 1967 with Sandie Shaw and her song “Puppet on a String”. The United Kingdom last won the contest in 1997 with Katrina & The Waves and “Love Shine A Light”.

On the Eurojury today is the last United Kingdom artist to finish in 2nd place, Imaani. Imaani represented the United Kingdom on home soil in Birmingham in 1998 with the song “Where Are You?”.

  2. The Netherlands – 10 points
  3. FYR Macedonia – 8 points
  4. Australia – 7 points
  5. Norway – 6 points
  6. Austria – 5 points
  7. Georgia – 4 points
  8. Ireland – 3 points
  9. Albania – 2 points
  10. Slovenia – 1 point

So after the points from the United Kingdom, here are the top.5:

  1. Australia – 197 points
  2. Sweden – 153 points
  3. Italy – 146 points
  4. Russia – 105 points
  5. Albania – 90 points
