Laura from Poland: “My song is about chasing your dreams and never give up” (Junior Eurovision 2022)

We had the opportunity to talk to Laura, the Polish representative at #JuniorEurovision 2022, about her experience at her national final and her expectations for Yerevan.

Laura Bączkiewicz is an 11-year-old artist born in Konin, a city in central Poland with a population of about 80,000, on 12 March 2011. She is in the 4th grade of primary education at a local school. She started in the world of music when he was only 4 years old at the Epicentrum Kultury Centre in her hometown. His vocal talent quickly led her to win several prizes at local music contests and festivals. Subsequently, she moved to the Hit Stage Song Studio, where she continues to train musically and perfect her voice. In 2016, the young singer began her artistic training at the Konin Cultural Centre, where she studied singing and acting until she was eight years old, at which point she was able to join the Hit Stage Song Studio, where she is currently continuing her apprenticeship.

Thanks to these experiences, Laura has managed to participate and triumph in numerous singing competitions at a national level, as well as collaborating in concerts in collaboration with the Konin town council and the cultural centre where she studied previously. The young girl has often stated that she also has a vocation as an actress, lending her voice as a dubber for numerous animated films, lending her voice to many characters in series such as “Vampirina” and films such as “Boy called Christmas” or “Ooops 2 The Adventure Continues”. Laura stresses that she loves dubbing animated characters because she has the opportunity to sing.
