With a total of 161 points, FELICIA claimed the iconic Melodifestivalen trophy and will now aim to secure Sweden’s eighth Eurovision victory. She will compete in the first semifinal on Tuesday, May 12, alongside 14 other acts, hoping to continue Sweden’s impressive track record at the competition.
Melodifestivalen 2026 Final Results
The grand final featured 12 acts who battled for the coveted title. While 10 of them secured their place through the five initial heats, two acts advanced via last week’s finalkvalet in Sundsvall.
The voting process began with the international jury, consisting of eight countries: Australia, Finland, Greece, Czechia, France, Armenia, Croatia, and Italy. FELICIA emerged as the jury’s favorite, followed closely by Medina and Greczula. The final outcome was determined by the combined vote of the Swedish public, with results announced by hosts Gina Dirawi and Hampus Nessvold.

Hall of Fame

Gina Dirawi made her first appearance in the Melodifestivalen in 2012 and immediately won the hearts of viewers. With humour, sharpness and a presence that came straight through the screen, she quickly became one of the programme’s most talked-about personalities. As the presenter with the most broadcasts under her belt in the competition’s history, she holds an obvious place in the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame.
Motivation
With Melodifestivalen 2012, a 21-year-old newcomer from northern Sweden took the country by storm. Gina Dirawi swept into Swedish living rooms with charm, confidence and a rarely seen instinct for lightning-fast exchanges of lines. Since then, she has hosted the festival through two more tours, and this year she makes “the perfect four”. Gina is the embodiment of presenting perfection and an obvious addition to the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame.
Gina Dirawi first rose to prominence as the host of Melodifestivalen in 2012, and has since presented the competition again in 2013, 2016 and 2026. This makes her the person who has hosted the most broadcasts in the competition’s history and one of those who has hosted the programme over the greatest number of years, tied with Lena Philipsson. For her contributions, she was awarded the Kristallen as “Female Presenter of the Year” two years in a row, in 2012 and 2013.
“Gina entered Melodifestivalen like a bolt from the blue, with a natural confidence that few possess. Already in her first programme she set the tone with her charm, security and an ability both to surprise and engage. She came straight through the screen and into the hearts of the Swedish people”
Christer Björkman, honorary chair of the Hall of Fame committee
