Junior Eurovision 2026: See the best photos from the first day of individual rehearsals in Malta

The wait is almost over! Junior Eurovision 2026 rehearsals are officially underway in Malta, with the first eight delegations stepping onto the stage at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali. After weeks of preparations, the young performers are finally getting the chance to bring their songs to life on the stage where this year’s contest will take place.

The Netherlands, Cyprus, Portugal, Montenegro, San Marino, France, Poland and Armenia have all completed their first individual rehearsals, marking the beginning of an exciting few days for the 16 countries taking part in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

For the young artists, it’s a moment they’ve been looking forward to. Their first rehearsal is the chance to see how everything comes together, from the stage design and lighting to the camera shots and choreography they’ve been working on back home.

And now, we can take a closer look at those first moments on stage through a photo gallery featuring all eight performances from the opening day of rehearsals.
