Lithuania wins OGAE Fan Contest!

Lithuania has won OGAE Fan Contest, an alternative competition organised by the fan club after the cancellation of the actual Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

The Roop was selected to represent Lithuania with the song On Fire:

The annual OGAE Poll is the official fan club voting that brings the opinion of the OGAE quarters established all over Europe and Rest of the World. This year, however, the club decided to change its format to allow all the Eurovision fans to vote for their favourites as a way to celebrate Eurovision 2020, which won’t take place due to the Covid-19 crisis.

THE PROCESS

A few weeks ago, OGAE international opened a registration window for everyone inviting all fans around to join the Fan Contest. Then, they sent a message to all the fans that had registered with the link to vote.

The winner of the Eurovision Fan Contest was decided as in the actual competition. The results of the fan voting (televoting) decided 50% of the overall result, while the other 50% was determined by the members of OGAE quarters established all over Europe and Rest of the World (national juries).

Congratulations to the winner! Don’t miss the special ‘Eurovision Shine A Light’ at 21.00 CET!
