Celebrating diversity all aboard!
RTP, the host broadcaster of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, has just released the soundtrack that will be used to introduce all three shows to the audience in May together with the visual identity presented a few weeks ago, whose tagline is “All Aboard”.
The broadcaster held a competition where seven Portuguese composers could send in their compositions, but in the end it was the creation of LuÃs Figuereido the one who got the honor. As Eurovision tv reports, ” The soundtrack had to consist of various musical pieces, adapted both to the needs of the television shows as well the several parallel events taking place across Lisbon”.
Figuereido is not new to the Eurovision family, as he co-arranged last year’s winning entry “Amar Pelos Dois”. The composition was actually performed by the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, conducted by António Lourenço. Rui Guerreiro and LuÃs Figueiredo himself recorded and mixed the tune, under the supervision of Viagens a Marte for RTP.
How much do you like the brand new Eurovision soundtrack for 2018? Is it better than the ones presented for previous editions of the contest?
We want to read your comments on it!
