Exclusive video interview with Rebekka Thornbech from DMGP 2014: ”What you can expect from us is authenticity, closeness and intimacy”

In the Coming weeks we are introducing the 10 artists that will participate in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014 and today we will continue the with second contestant.

It’s Rebekka Thornbech who will sing as number 2 in the running order on March 8^th in Odense. It will be Rebekka’s first time in Dansk Melodi Grand prix and she will perform the song Your Lies. In the interview below you can hear what she told us about her song and much more.

Rebekka Thornbech is 27 years old and have worked with music all of her life, and from an early age she has performed with her two sister Hanna and Emma. When she was 15 years old, she started writing and composing her own music. The music Rebekka write is pop, strongly influenced by country and blues with focus on good groves and catchy chourses. From 2011 Rebekka started working full time with music, and in 2013 her first single called Woman finally came out. It was in heavy rotation on the Danish radio P4. It will be followed by her debut album So Be It that will come out on March 8^th, the exact same date as Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be held. Besides her music, Rebekka also has a Bachelor degree from Roskilde university and is currently studying history and communication at the same place. But on March 8^th all of Rebekka’s focus will be on music, when she goes on stage in Odense and try to take Your Lies to victory.
