Eurojury: Hungary Calling

This is Budapest Calling
This is Budapest Calling

From Slovenia we head across the border to Hungary. Hungary are being representing by Boggie this year in Vienna with her song “Wars For Nothing”. Hungary have qualified for the final every year since their return in 2011.

Hungary debuted in Eurovision in 1994 represented by Friderika Bayer and her song “Kinek mondjam el vétkeimet?”, it remains as Hungary’s best result in the contest finishing 4th in Dublin with a total of 122 points. Hungary took a break from the contest from 1998 to 2005, returning in Kiev with NOX who finished 12th. After their most recent break from the contest in 2010, Hungary has come back and qualified for every final, with András Kállay-Saunders finishing 5th in Copenhagen with “Running”.

On the Hungarian Eurojury are two artists:

  • Csaba Szigeti – Represented Hungary at Eurovision 1995 with the song “Új név a régi ház falán”, they finished 22nd with 3 points.
  • Karmapolis – Participated in A Dal 2015 with the song “Time Is Now”, they finished 6th in the first semi final.

Here are the results of the Hungarian jury:

  1. The Netherlands – 12 points
  2. Australia – 10 points
  3. Latvia – 8 points
  4. Italy – 7 points
  5. Belgium – 6 points
  6. Poland – 5 points
  7. Finland – 4 points
  8. United Kingdom – 3 points
  9. Malta – 2 points
  10. Iceland – 1 point

Those points mean that both Finland and Poland have now picked up their first points, this leaves just Moldova and San Marino with no points after 16 countries votes. This leaves the top.5 as:

  1. Australia – 114 points
  2. Italy – 78 points
  3. Russia – 65 points
  4. Sweden – 65 points
  5. Iceland – 53 points

We thank both of the artists for taking time out to participate in Eurojury. You can see the results so far as a table here – Eurojury-Points-2015. And follow all the results so far on the Eurojury section our website here and on the official micro site here.

Don’t agree with the results? Tell us who you’d vote for here.

We return again tomorrow at 17:00 CET with more results.
