Ukraine: Second semi-final of national selection tonight!

Eurovision 2017 host country Ukraine will continue tonight looking for the song and the artist that will represent them at this year’s grand final in Kiev on May 13th. Ukrainian national selection is made-up of three semi-final rounds prior to the grand final and exactly the same as in 2016, it will a co-production between Ukrainian Public Broadcasting Services (UA:PBC) and STB, who is used to set up TV talent competitions in the country such as the X-Factor.

An intensive period of auditions took place throughout the past months in the six major cities of Ukraine which simultaneously saw a wildcard selection process running through, which was won by the group Kuznetsov and “Deep Shivers”. Despite being considered to make it directly to the final, the organizers considered and decided Kuznetsov would be taking part at the semifinals and finally were allocated in the second one. Apart from this, 23 acts were selected after a panel, led by music producer Konstantin Meladze, evaluated all the auditions.

Last week we saw two acts making it to the final on the 25th of February: TAYANNA & Salto Nazad.

Today, other two of the following competing names will also get to join them, which the following names will do it?:

  1. Letay – Svit chekaye
  2. Mila Nitich – Mystery
  3. Kuznetsov – Deep Shivers

  5. Detach – Distance
  6. Rozhden – Saturn
  7. Panivalkova – Dokuchayu
