Ukraine officially confirms participation for Junior Eurovision 2016, submissions open!

NTU has just officially confirmed participation for this year’s Junior Eurovision to be held in Malta. 

Ukraine is the 9th country joining this year’s edition of Junior Eurovision which, according to the host broadcaster, will reach a total of 18 participating countries. Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Ireland, Malta, Russia, The Netherlands, Italy and Ukraine, all of them participants of Junior Eurovision 2015, form the list of confirmed countries until the date.

The Ukrainian broadcaster has also started accepting submissions for the national selection until the 10th of August. NTU will held a semi final on August 13 where the national finalists will be chosen and named to compete in the live show to take place in September. All the Ukrainian singers aged 9-14 are invited to send their applications to compete at the national selection for Junior Eurovision 2016 . The winning country of Eurovision 2016 has taken part at Junior Eurovision since 2006 having hosted the event twice (2009 and 2013) and winning once (2012). Last year they were represented by Anna Trincher who achieved an 11th place with the song “Pochny z sebe”.
