Ukraine: NTU & STB open submissions for 2017 national selection

Today, NTU and STB have open submissions for the next year’s Eurovision which will be hosted on home ground. After the successful results of the last year’s selection procedure, with Jamala winning the international competition, the Ukrainian broadcasters will be cooperating again in order to search the best song that will be performed on the big stage.

All interested artists and composers can enter the competition in two different ways, by filling an on-line form available here or taking part in the live auditions that will be held in several cities around the country (Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kiev). The dates for the live auditions, which will happen from November 16 to January 15, will be revealed by the organisational broadcasters at a later date. You can find the full set of rules by clicking here.

The winner of the on-line voting will automatically qualify for the televised semi-finals joining the participants selected from the live auditions. A total of 20-40 candidates will go through to the semi-final stage with 8-12 acts competing in each show. A mix of professional jury and televoting will decide between 2-3 candidates that will compete in the grand final of the show.
