Ukraine: Mariya Yaremchuk releases new song!

The Ukrainian singer Mariya Yaremchuk achieved an honorable 6th place in Copenhagen with her catchy  “Tick-Tock” and her hamster wheel, but Mariya doesn’t limit herself to one kind of song. Recently she released her new single “Protiv Vetra”, Russian for “Go against the wind”. Not only is this a ballad rather than a catchy pop song that you can’t help but to dance to, she also decided to sing in Russian this time.

With “Protiv Vetra” Mariya proves herself to be a very versatile artist who’s capable of singing different types of music and actually doing a great job at it too! This ballad showcases Mariya’s vocals rather than dancers and stage props, allowing us to get a much better impression of what a talented vocalist she really is.  She seems to be full of surprises and we can’t wait to hear the next one! Do you like this new release, or would you rather have seen another dance track? And do you think Mariya should return to the Eurovision stage with a ballad like this? should Ukraine decide to return to the contest? Let us know in the comments below!
