Melodifestivalen 2016 kicked off last week and it was quite a start! After Anna Book’s disqualification, only six acts competed for the tickets to the final and the second chance round!
Tonight, we go back to the basis and seven acts will get on Malmö’s stage to prove they’re winning material in front of the Swedish audience.
Here are tonight’s contestants:

- Victor och Natten – 100%
- Molly Pettersson Hammar – Hunger
- Isa – I Will Wait
- Krista Siegfrids – Faller
- Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson & Uno Svenningsson – Håll mitt hjärta hårt
- Wiktoria – Save Me
Victor och Natten, Krista Siegfrids and Wiktoria are the debuting artists at Melodifestivalen, as the rest of the line-up has already competed in previous editions. A familiar Eurovision star is among the contestants, she represented Finland in 2013. Of course, that is Krista Siegfrids, who decided to try luck in her neighbour country.
Tonight’s hostess is once again Gina Dirawi who was supposed to have Charlotte Perrelli as her co-host but, due to a conflict of interest (Perrelli filmed an advertisement with the phone company Comviq which airs in the same period as Melodifestivalen which is against SVT’s rules), she will just be a guest artist for the night.
