Sweden: Melodifestivalen first semi-final rehearsals on-line, listen to the snippets!

The most famous Eurovision national selection kicks off on Saturday with the first semi-final taking place live from Gothenburg!

The first seven candidates taking the Melodifestivalen 2016 stage are actively working on their preparations for the show. SVT will be revealing the candidate songs it their full length tomorrow, but you can now enjoy a few seconds of each performance and listen to the snippets below:


Melodifestivalen 2016 will consist of 6 shows, fours semi-finals, a Second Chance show (March 5) and a Grand Final (March 12) held in Stockholm. Two acts from each semi-final will make it to the final, while the 3rd and 4th placed will compete in the Second Chance (Andra Chansen) from which four contenders will qualify for the Grand Final.

All shows will be hosted by Gina Dirawi along with different co-hosts. Yesterday, SVT announced Charlotte Perrelli won’t be finally one of them, being instead part of an extended interval during the show due to contracts incompatibility.
