Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2016 submissions for composers open!

Composers and song writers can start submitting their songs for Melodifestivalen 2016! Between the 1st and the 16th of September at 8:59 AM CET, composers can upload their entries for Melodifestivalen 2016 at svt.se/melodifestivalen. In both Regular Contest and Public Contest, the songs are entered as audio files.

SVT has posted the rules for composers and writers and they can start submitting their entries today. The deadline is Tuesday, September 16th at 08:59. Song writers who have never before participated should send their songs to the Public Contest. Song writers who have previously participated should send their songs to the Regular Contest. By clicking here you can find the rules in English. According to the rules, at least one of the composers should be Swedish.

Next year’s contest will have 28 competing songs, just as in 2015. A selection jury will pick 14 songs while the rest 14 will be picked by SVT and a team of experts who have been invited by SVT. In the 14 songs that will be picked by SVT, the winner of “Svensktoppen Nästa 2015″ will be included however not the song with which he/she won “Svensktoppen Nästa 2015″.
