The Slovenian national final EMA 2016 has just concluded. ManuElla has been announced as the winner with the song “Blue and Red”!

The following 10 artists competed in tonight’s show:
- Anja Baš – What If
- Žan Serčič – Summer Story
- Anja Kotar – Too Cool
- San Di EGO – Brez Tebe (Without You)
- D Base – Spet Živ (Alive Again)
- Regina – Alive In Every Way
- ManuElla – Blue and Red
- Raiven – Črno bel (Black and white)
- Nuša Derenda – Tip Top
- Sebastija Lukovnjak – Tales of Tomorrow
The winner has been decided after two voting rounds. In the first round and after all 10 acts had performed, a 50/50 combination of televoting and jury decided on two superfinalists:
- ManuElla – Blue and Red
- Raiven – Črno bel (Black and white)
Both candidates performed their songs once again and the Slovenian representative for Eurovision 2016 was chosen by 100% televote decision.
The show took place in RTVSLO Studio 1 in Ljubljana, and it was hosted by the presenter and comedian Klemen Slakonja. The Slovenian ESC 2015 participants Maraaya and Slovenian JESC 2015 singer Lina Kuduzović were the interval acts of the night.
The jury consisted of Darja Švajger (Slovenian representative at ESC 1995 and 1999), Marlenna (one third of the group Sestre, that represented Slovenia in 2002), and Raay (part of Maraaya, who sang for Slovenia last year, and composer of Slovenia’s entries at ESC 2014, and JESC 2014 & 2015).
