Second semi-final in Ukraine tonight!

Ukraine keeps on looking for her Eurovision come-back entry. Tonight, the second semi-final of their national selection will take place in Kiev. Not only the remaining nine competing acts will get to perform their entries but also Barei, the Spanish representative in Stockholm, will perform her Eurovision entry ”Say Yay!”

Tonight’s line up consists of:

  • Alloise – Crown
  • ArkadyVoytyuk – Vse v tobi
  • Japanda – Anime
  • NuAngels – Higher
  • Peak of Kings – Last Hope
  • Pringelz – Easy to Love
  • Pur:Pur – We Do Change
  • SunSay – Love Manifest
  • Viktoria Petryk – Overload

The top three entries following the combination of votes from a public televote and an expert jury will advance to the final of the competition, while the remaining six entries will be eliminated, following exactly the same procedure as it was done last week where we got Jamala, The Hardkiss and Brunettes Shoot Blondes as the first finalists in the competition.

The jury expert panel is made up of three established people in the Ukrainian industry:

  • Konstantin Meladze – Composer and producer
  • Ruslana – singer-songwriter, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 for Ukraine
  • Andriy Danylko – comedian and singer, represented Ukraine in 2007 as the drag artist Verka Serduchka.

Tonight’s semifinal is hosted again by Dmytro Tankovich and Oleksandr Pedan and it will be broadcast on both UA:Pershyi and STB, which is co-producing the show, from 18.00 (CET). Anyway, you can tune into the transmission below to watch it:
