The 6 candidates were internally chosen by RTVE to compete in a live show, “¡Objetivo Eurovisión!”, set on February 1. The Spanish national final will take place in Madrid at 22.30 CET and it will be hosted by Anne Igartiburu, who already leaded past Spanish finals.

A mix of public televote (40%), national (30%) and international jury (30%) will be in charge of selecting who will follow Edurne’s footsteps at the Grand Final of Eurovision 2016. This is the first time the Spanish broadcaster incorporates an international jury, while the national one will be made up of Edurne, Loreen and Carlos Marín.

The show will feature performances of former national final participants, D’Nash, Coral, Mirela, Brequette and Jorge Gozález singing a Eurovision Medley of past Spanish entries, and Loreen, winner of Eurovision 2012.
