The Semi-Final allocation draw for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 has just taken place in Vienna!
We now know who is competing in each semi-final and in which half, check it below:
First Semi-Final, Tuesday 19th of May (16 countries):
First Half:
- Greece
- FYR Macedonia
- Estonia
- The Netherlands
- Moldova
- Finland
- Belgium
- Armenia
Second Half:
- Serbia
- Denmark
- Belarus
- Romania
- Russia
- Albania
- Georgia
- Hungary
Second Semi-Final, Thursday 21st of May (17 countries):
First Half:
- Norway
- Ireland
- Czech Republic
- Lithuania
- San Marino
- Malta
- Portugal
- Montenegro
Second Half:
- Switzerland
- Azerbaijan
- Slovenia
- Latvia
- Poland
- Iceland
- Israel
- Cyprus
- Sweden
Six countries have already qualified for the Grand Final set on Saturday 23rd being United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the last year’s winner Austria being allocated to vote in one of the two Semi-Finals:
- United Kingdom (Semi-final 2)
- Spain (Semi-final 1)
- France (Semi-final 1)
- Italy (Semi-final 1)
- Germany (Semi-final 2)
- Austria (Semi-final 2)
The allocation draw has been supervised by The Executive Supervisor of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Jon Ola Sand, and Thomas Niedermeyer from the voting partner Digame.
To create more excitement, like past years, the 33 countries have been allocated to 5 pots based on voting patterns from the previous ten years. The pots were calculated by the televoting partner Digame.
The event has taken place at the Vienna’s Rathaus and it has been hosted by Kati Bellowitsch and Andi Knoll.
