It’s official, Slovenia withdraws from Junior Eurovision

After some reports RTVSLO has just officially confirmed they won’t be taking part at this year’s Junior Eurovision due to the change of rules for the competition.

Read the official statement published on Facebook below:

According to RTVSLO, the change of date from Saturday to Sunday and the lack of information about the upcoming edition have caused this decision.

Slovenia made its debut at Junior Eurovision back in 2014 being represented by Ula Lozar and the song “Nisi Sam (Your light)” (12th place). A year later, RTVSLO reached their highest position in the history of the Eurovision contests when Lina Kuduzović achieved a 3rd place with the song “Prva ljubezen”.
