Today, Nicky Byrne, former Westlife member and Irish representative at the Eurovison Song Contest 2016 has released his debut solo single “Sunlight”. His brand new single is already available on iTunes.

A month ago Byrne confirmed that RTÉ had internally selected him to represent Ireland on Eurovision stage in Stockholm with “Sunlight”. Since then, Nicky has immediately become one of the favorites of the show. He is one of the co-writers of the song together with Wayne Hector and Ronan Hardiman.
Nicky will perform in the second semifinal on May 12th. During the final on May 14th the winner will be revealed, so let’s wait and see if Byrne takes Eurovision 2017 to Ireland.
In the meantime before his way to Stockholm, Nicky will perform his Eurovision entry “Sunlight” on the Ray D’Arcy Show for the first time live, which will be broadcasted tomorrow on RTÉ One.
